When you send an enquiry
We ask for your name, postcode, project type, preferred contact method and the contact detail needed to reply. A description of the project is optional. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
We use this information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to communicate about work you commission. We may also retain relevant correspondence for legitimate business purposes, such as resolving questions about work. Choosing WhatsApp is permission to discuss this enquiry there, not permission for unrelated marketing.
Where your details go
The form submits to FormSubmit, which handles the security check and forwards the details to our contact email. FormSubmit documents that it retains submissions for 30 days. Its security check may use Google's reCAPTCHA. Email is handled by the provider of our displayed contact address. These services may process information outside the UK; their notices explain their own processing.
A form submission does not automatically send a WhatsApp message. If you choose Chat on WhatsApp, the conversation takes place in WhatsApp under its own privacy policy. Opening a draft does not send it: you choose whether to press Send.
Retention and your choices
We retain enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to respond, manage any agreed work and meet applicable record-keeping or legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on whether the enquiry results in work and whether an issue remains unresolved. You can contact us to ask what information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or raise a concern about its use. Some records may need to be retained where a legal obligation applies.
You may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and to receive a copy of data in a portable format, depending on the circumstances. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Browsing this website
This website does not include advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Photographs and fonts are served with the website. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical information, such as your IP address and request time, to deliver and protect the site. External services you choose to open, including FormSubmit, WhatsApp and Checkatrade, have their own cookie and privacy arrangements.
Project photographs are presented without customers' full names or street addresses. Reviews are quoted from published Checkatrade feedback, with the source and general area provided.
